17 December 1997	The Royal Bank of Scotland Group agrees to acquire Angel Trains
	Angel Trains' new owner is Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc, who acquired the company from GRS Holdings Company Limited (GRSH).

11 November 1997	Angel Trains Joint Venture Succeeds As The Classic Comes To Life -
	Angel Trains and Adtranz invested £3 million to create the 'Classic' which transforms the Mark 1 body and bogies into trains for the future. The design encompasses many modern design features and creates a safer travelling environment.
