Summer Vacation Scheme
Angel Trains offer 3-month summer placements for students undertaking Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering Degrees.
- Successful candidates will be based within the Technical Services
Department or Project Team and will provide assistance to Fleet/Development
Engineers
- We will endeavour to ensure that the placement offers a variety
of work experience to the student including client visits, involvement
in project work, research, work shadowing, and liaison with internal
and external customers & suppliers. Students will gain an
insight and understanding of rolling stock leasing business, also
understanding of the Rail Industry
- Students will benefit from increased technical knowledge, commercial
skills and communication skills, IT skills, interdisciplinary
understanding
Requirements
- 2nd/3rd year M Eng/E Eng student
- Proactive and can do approach
- Good communicator, team worker
- An interest in transportation systems and an awareness of emergent technologies, eg: traction systems and electronic control systems is an advantage.
